What is TAED?
It’s a peroxide bleach activator commmonly used in laundry detergents and household cleaners. It’s the main bleach activator used in European laundry detergents.
When combined with a peroxide source, TAED generates in-situ Peracetic Acid (PAA) during the wash cycle.
PAA acts as a powerful disinfectant and bleaching agent, ensuring clothes are both clean and hygienic.
Drawbacks of Traditional TAED
The primary challenge with traditional TAED is it’s poor solubility. Washing below 40°C is not recommended due to this issue.
On top of this, typically, 30-40% of traditional TAED is not converted to PAA and is subsequently washed away, leading to ineffcicinecy and waste. This results in higher energy consumption as users need to wash at higher temperatures to achieve the desired cleaning results.
Key Benefits of Novel TAED
One1Star has developed a TAED matrix that addresses the dissolution issues of traditional TAED. The novel TAED dissolves almost 60 times faster than traditional TAED at room temperature, ensuring 100% conversion to PAA during the wash cycle.
This innovation allows effective washing at temperatures as low as 20°C, providing significant energy savings and improved cleaning performance.
